Float glass is widely used in buildings and vehicles because of its smooth, clear, and flat surface. It is commonly used for windows, doors and shop fronts.

Float glass is made by pouring molten glass onto a bath of molten tin. As it moves along the tin, the glass naturally forms a perfectly flat and smooth surface. It is then slowly cooled in a controlled process called annealing to remove internal stresses, resulting in clear, strong sheets of glass ready for use in windows, mirrors, and other applications.
